Connect with MCP

Let an AI assistant work with Shadowspect as you.

The Connect with AI page lets an assistant that supports MCP use Shadowspect. The server address is https://mcp.shadowspect.ai/mcp.

  1. Add the server in your assistant. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http shadowspect https://mcp.shadowspect.ai/mcp, then type /mcp and choose shadowspect.
  2. Sign in to Shadowspect when the window opens, then choose Allow.

The assistant acts as you, with your role. If you are removed from the workspace or your role changes, it takes effect on the assistant's next call. The Connected assistants list on the page shows what you connected. Disconnect stops an assistant at once.

What an assistant can do

  • Read lists, entries, automations, alerts, alert evidence and dashboard numbers. find_signals finds alerts on a list for a date range.
  • run_automation starts a paused automation again, and pause_automation pauses one at once, with no Undo. Only Owners and Admins can use these.
  • add_signal adds a signal after the same prompt check as the builder. On a draft it saves at once. On a running automation it waits as a pending change until an Owner or Admin confirms it in the app. A new signal is checked every week unless you give an interval.
  • set_signal_interval changes how often one signal checks each record: every day, every week or every 30 days. It saves at once on a draft and waits as a pending change on a running automation.

API keys

An assistant that cannot sign in can use an API key instead. An Owner or Admin makes one on the API keys tab. A key is shown once, acts as an Admin and can be revoked at once.

Limits and records

  • A key or a signed-in assistant is limited to 60 calls a minute.
  • Each call is recorded for 30 days and shown to Owners and Admins.
